William G. ''Bill'' Schenck Dundee: William G. ''Bill'' Schenck, age 69, of Dundee, NY died Friday March 29, 2013 at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, in Penn Yan, NY. Friends may call from 3-4 p.m. Saturday (Apr. 13) at the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee; where a memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. Herbert Tennies officiating. A reception will follow at the Dundee VFW. Burial will private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Dundee Fire Company Emergency Squad, or the Dundee Fire Company, 12 Union St., Dundee, NY 14837. William was born January 17, 1944 in Penn Yan, N.Y., the son of the late Richard Donald and Dorothy A. Trenchard Schenck. He graduated from Dundee Central School in 1962. A life long local resident, having lived in Florida from 1998 - 2011. "Bill" had a varied work history; after graduation from high school he started with Hill Construction. Over the years, his love of engines, and vehicles spread through jobs at Palmer Chevrolet, Lyman Pierce Vineyards, Martin Tones Garage, International Salt, Marvin Koek Farm; and finally Mercury Aircraft of Hammondsport, where he drove truck, retiring after 20 years in 1998. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking, welding, race cars, and playing euchre. He is loved and will be missed by a son Mark W. (Kim Crawford) Schenck of Dundee; twin daughters Melissa L. (Mark) Mogavero of Greece, NY, Michele L. (Jack) Aumick of Penn Yan; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; a brother George R. (Norma) Schenck of Weston; a sister-in-law Edna Schenck of Dundee; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a brother Fred D. Schenck in1993, and a sister Marion L.
