Stewart M. Perry

Himrod/Dundee: Stewart M. Perry, age 79, of Himrod, NY passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home with his wife at his side on Monday October 23, 2017.

Friends are invited to calling hours from 12 noon to1:00 p.m. Friday (Oct. 27) at the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee; where his funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, with burial following in Altay Cemetery, Altay, NY.

Stewart was born March 16, 1938 in the town of Tyrone, NY the second son of the late Harold G. and Emma {Soles} Perry. On Jan. 1, 1960 in the Waneta Parsonage, in Weston, NY he married the former Ethel B. Teed. Mr. Perry was a former employee of Corning Glass Works, Corning, NY where he retired after 43 years in 2001. In his spare time Stewart enjoyed collecting Bibles, and was a true car enthusiast.

He is survived and will be dearly missed by his wife of 57 years Ethel B. Perry at home; 3 children Suzanne M. Murphy of Decatur, TN, Brian K. Perry and Karen E. Perry both of Dundee; 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 3 brothers Ross (Mary Louise) Perry of Caton, NY, Lyman (Wilma) Perry of Watkins Glen, NY, Harold (Landra) Perry of Bath, NY; a sister Dell Anna LeMaire of Painted Post, NY; and several nieces and nephews.
