Stanley Marro Painted Post: Stanley Marro, age 97, of Absolut Care in Painted Post, NY died Saturday March 8, 2014 at Corning Hospital, in Corning, NY. Honoring his wishes there will be no prior calling hours. A graveside service with Military Honor's will be held in Hillside Cemetery, Route 14A Dundee, at the convenience of the family in the spring. In lieu of flowers those wishing may make memorial contributions to charity of the donor's choice. Stanley was born April 18, 1916 in Simpson, Lackawana County, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Joseph and Magdelena Dzuranna Marro. He graduated from Dundee High School. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a retired Heavy Equipment Operator employed by New York State DOT, having worked on highways throughout New York State. Stanley never married; he was predeceased by all of his family. He is survived and will be missed by his dear friends David and Joyce McEvoy of Hornell, NY, and their family.
