Sharon L. Wink Himrod: Sharon L. Wink, age 72, of Himrod, NY passed away Tuesday April 9, 2013, in Hamilton Square, NJ. Family and friends are invited to call from 5- 8 pm Thursday (April 25) at the Baird Funeral Home 36 Water Street, Dundee, NY; where a funeral service will be held at 11 am on Friday, (April 26). Burial will follow in Grove Mount Cemetery, Himrod, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Himrod Fire Department, First Responders P.O. Box 112, Himrod, NY 14842. Sharon was born September 13, 1940 in Rochester, the daughter of the late Claude P. and Helen M. Borkhuis; lived in Penfield and raised her family in East Rochester. On March 25, 1978 in Brighton, NY she married Raymond Donald Wink. She and Ray moved to Seneca Lake where she worked and retired from Prejean Winery. She loved her "family" at Prejean and enjoyed talking at length with all of her customers at the tasting bar. Sharon was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and a generous friend to all who knew her. She loved to cook, was a loyal Yankees fan and enjoyed crossword puzzles, American Idol, word scrambles and playing Angry Birds and solitaire for hours. Above all, Sharon loved to laugh. Her friends and family were never far from her thoughts and she will be missed dearly. Pre-deceased by her husband, Raymond "Teeb" Wink of 32 years on April 27, 2010. Sharon is survived by her brothers Ronald (Donna Lowry), Dale, and Gary (Connie) Borkhuis; five children, Laura Heimes (Douglas Conners), Robert and David Heimes, James (Kathleen) Wink and Patricia (Raymond) Jones; 8 grandchildren, Patrick Conners, Brittney, Austin, Madison and Jacob Heimes, Lisa Maria (Philip) Warburton, Natalie (Timothy) Liebert and Nicholas (Constantina Nikoloudias, fiancée) Jones along with several nieces & nephews.
