Sabra McGuire Kopec Dundee: Sabra McGuire Kopec, age 80, of Dundee, NY passed away on Sunday April 23, 2023 at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, in Penn Yan, NY. Mrs. Kopec was born Sabra Almeda McGuire on October 19, 1942 in Binghamton, New York the only daughter of the late William and Glendora (Voss) McGuire. On November 23, 1967 in Montrose, PA she married Albert J. Kopec. The couple first moved to the farm on Seneca Lake where Albert grew up but eventually decided to reside in Dundee, where they have lived since 1974. Her love of needle work and related crafts would eventually lead to the formation of her own craft business, which she called The Weaver's Nook, Sabra was a fixture at the Windmill Farm and Craft Market for some 23 years between 1994 and 2016. Mrs. Kopec loved all forms of woven crafts, and her own products have been appreciated and cherished by her hundreds of customers throughout the years. She is loved and will be dearly missed by her husband of 55 years, Albert J.Kopec at home; a son Kevin M. Kopec Sr. of Dundee; her granddaughter Crystal M. (Alex Cross) Kopec of Lake Luzerne, NY; grandson Kevin M. Kopec Jr. of Buffalo, NY; along with two nephews and a niece. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a brother Jamie V. McGuire, more recently residing in the state of Washington. Honoring her wishes there are no prior calling hours. Services are private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Dundee Fire Company 12 Union St. Dundee, NY 14837.
