Ronald G. Laurencin Dundee: Ronald G. Laurencin, age 84, of Dundee, NY died unexpectedly on Monday May 18, 2015 at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, in Penn Yan, NY. Friends are invited to calling hours from 12:00 noon -1:00 p.m. Friday (May 22) at the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee; where a funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm with Lay Pastor Lew Ann Giles officiating. Burial will follow in Lakemont Cemetery, Hayes Rd. Lakemont, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to Dundee Fire Company Emergency Squad, 12 Union St., Dundee, NY 14837. Ronald was born July 3, 1930 in West New York, N.J., the son of the late George and Dorothy McLaughlin Laurencin. On Nov. 1, 1980 in Little Ferry, N.J. he married the former Dorothy E. Claflin-Soéhnel. He was employed as a Quality Control Engineer by Aero Gear, of Moonachie, N.J., retiring in 1992. He has lived locally since 1993, previously of Little Ferry, NJ. Mr. Laurencin was an active member and Deacon of the Dundee Baptist Church. He loved classic cars, and was an antique toy enthusiast. He is survived by his wife of 34 years Dorothy E. Laurencin at home; 2 daughters Denise Laurencin of Bergenfield, NJ, Sue (Robert) Dermody of Roosevelt, NJ; and their 2 children Cheyenne and Luke Dermody; 3 step children Jacqueline (Michael) Flynn of Sun City Center, FL, Steven Soéhnel of Buffalo, NY, Lawrence (Virginia) Soéhnel of Piermont, NY; and many close friends.
