Robert Druker Sr.
Dundee: Robert Druker Sr., age 81, of Dundee, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2026 at the Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca, surrounded by his family. He was known to all as “POPS”. He was the protector of his family, a true family man.
The family invites friends to calling hours from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm Thursday March 26, at the Baird Funeral Home 36 Water St. Dundee. Honoring his wishes, burial will be private at the conclusion of calling hours in Lakemont Cemetery, Hayes Rd. Dundee, NY.
Robert was born April 24, 1944 in Newark, N.J, one of 3 sons of the late Harry Meyer and Frances Pauline (Chirichello) Druker. Educated in the School of Hard Knocks; which he made sure his boys were taught too. He entered the working field as a welder, building heavy equipment for Caterpillar, in Stanhope, NJ. On Dec. 11, 1966 in Maplewood Manor, N.J. he married the former Helen M. Cross. In 1976 he moved his family to Dundee; and worked for Midway Steel, before accepting a position building pole barns for Griffith Construction, retiring in 2006. After retiring he enjoyed helping his wife with her passion, HDR Stables, showing and breeding show horses. One of his passions was being out on the lake, any lake, fishing with family in search of the biggest bass.
He is loved and will be forever missed by his wife of 59 years, Helen M. Druker at home; 2 sons Robert (Valerie) Druker Jr. of Dundee, and Chad (Stacy) Druker of Penn Yan; 4 grandchildren Robert (Venessa) Druker III, Anthony Druker, Darian Druker, Jessica Druker; 4 great grandchildren Brayden Davis, Kelsi Davis, Robert Druker IV, and Violet Druker; a brother Joseph Druker of Hillsborough, NJ; several nieces and nephews; Erika Rhodes, Aubrie Thornton, and to many other step grand and great grandchildren to list. His “Bonus Kids” who he was such a pinnacle point of their lives; and literally countless friends.
Besides his parents he was pre-deceased by a grandson Chad Druker II, and a brother David Druker.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
