Peggy L. Menken Dundee: Peggy L. Menken, age 66, of Dundee, NY passed away on Friday September 4, 2015 at Cayuga Medical Center, in Ithaca, NY. Honoring her wishes there are no prior calling hours. A graveside memorial service will be held at 10:00 am Saturday (Sept. 12) in Bellona Cemetery, Bellona, NY with Rev. Marilyn Wood officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Dundee Fire Company Emergency Squad, 12 Union St., Dundee, NY 14837. Peggy was born December 1, 1948 in Penn Yan, NY, the daughter of the late Charles Lee "Baldy" Chambers and Mary L. Mashewske Chambers. She graduated from Penn Yan Academy in 1966. On March 17, 1990 she married the late Patrick "Don" Menken who passed away on August 20, 2004. She has lived back the area since 2005, previously of Raleigh, N.C. where she was the owner of P.M. Enterprises; a cable TV wiring and cable installation company. In her spare time she enjoyed all kinds of crafts, sewing, knitting, and crocheting and baking. She is survived by her son John D. (Klaressa) Nielsen of Savannah, NY, her daughter Cindy M. Nielsen of Penn Yan; her mother Mary L. Chambers of Dundee; 7 grandchildren Jamie, Courtney, Abby, and Cassie Nielsen, Damon, Leeann, and Carlee Walker; 5 brothers C. Edward (Sandra) Chambers of Avon, NY, Martin L. (Linda) Chambers of Penn Yan, James A. (Julie) Chambers of Montana, Robert L. (Jen) Chambers also of Penn Yan, William R. Chambers of Branchport, and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was pre-deceased by a sister Carol Ann Chambers on July 4, 1973, her father Charles Lee Chambers on Dec. 28, 2004, and a brother Bruce Chambers on March 3, 2014.
