Dundee/Penn Yan: Pauline D. Potter, age 89, of Penn Yan, formerly of Dundee, NY passed away Tuesday June 13, 2017 at the Penn Yan Manor Nursing Home, in Penn Yan, N.Y.

Friends are invited to calling hours from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday (June 15) at the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday (June 16) at Faith Baptist Church, 13 Harpending Ave., Dundee with Pastor Lawrence Semans officiating. Burial will follow in McDowell Cemetery, in Wayne, NY.

Pauline was born November 2, 1927 in the Town of Barrington, NY, one of 4 daughters of the late Albert E. and Estelle Eames Westfall Sr. On Sept. 12, 1945 in Wayne, NY she married the late Charles Potter, who passed away on October 26, 1997.

A lifelong local resident, who had worked many years in local vineyards, retired from Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital in Penn Yan, where she worked as a cook in the cafeteria. Mrs. Potter was a member of the Faith Baptist Church; and enjoyed crafts, crochet, needlepoint and flowers in her spare time.

She is loved and will be missed by all who knew her; especially her son Lewis (Mary) Potter of Wayne, NY; her daughter Sally(Russell) Malloy of Dundee, NY; 8 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 2 sisters Marion Thompson of Rochester, NY, Janice (Walton) Hamilton of Florida; and countless nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides her husband and parents, she was pre-deceased by a son Thomas Potter on December 31, 2009, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters.
