Norma G. Shepardson

Dundee: Norma G. Shepardson, age 91, of Dundee, NY passed away with her family by her side on Friday September 11, 2026 at Geneva General Hospital.

Honoring her wishes there will be no calling hours or public service. Inurnment will be private in Hillside Cemetery, Dundee.

Norma was born August 17, 1935 in Buffalo, NY, the only daughter of the late Arnold Gale and Grace Catherine (Cochran) Cole. A pre 1976 resident of Hammondsport, Norma lived in Florida from 1976 to 1980, when she moved to Dundee. On Sept. 10, 1983 in Dundee, she married Ralph E. Shepardson Sr., who preceded her in death on Nov. 7, 1995. Mrs. Shepardson was a member of Dundee United Methodist Church; she loved to cook and bake, enjoyed playing cards, and curling up with a good book.

She is survived by her children Eugene W. (Kim) Smith of Dundee, Sue A. Crans of Victor, NY, Dennis J. Smith of Dundee, Joyce C. Carmichael of Belmont, NC, step sons Jon E. (Carol) Shepardson of Bolingbrook, IL, David A. Shepardson of Ithaca; 18 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, and husband, she was pre-deceased by a granddaughter Adrienne VanHouton in 2017, a step son Ralph E. Shepardson Jr. in 2022, a son Raymond C. Smith in 2025; and her 3 brothers over the years.
