Dundee: Natilee M. Denton, age 91, of Dundee, NY died Thursday July 31, 2014 at Schuyler Hospital, in Montour Falls, N.Y.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm Monday (Aug. 4) at the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee with Lay Pastor Lew Ann Giles officiating. The family will greet friends afterwards. Honoring her wishes burial will be private in Hillside Cemetery, Dundee.

Natilee was born March 21, 1923 in Lakemont, NY, the daughter of the late Frederick and Lela Warner Moon. She graduated from Dundee Central School in 1940, and went on to receive her Business Degree from Elmira Business Institute. On June 29, 1946 in the Dundee Methodist Church she married the late Col. LeRoy M. Denton (U.S.A.F.) who passed away on April 22, 1974. She worked at the Dundee State Bank after business school and before starting her family. She has lived in the area all her life except for the 20 years she and her family followed her husband's career path in the Air Force, moving thoughout the U.S. and abroad from 1951 - 1971.
Mrs. Denton was a very active community volunteer, a member of the Lakemont Congregational Christian Church, was a treasurer of the former Starkey United Methodist Church, and attended the Dundee United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Dundee Library, Dundee Historical Society, volunteered for years for Meals on Wheels and the Dundee Food Pantry. She served on the Yates County and Dundee School Election Boards, was an organizer of the Starkey Antique Fair, and always supported her family in all their many endeavors and activities. In whatever spare time she had left, she enjoyed crafts and sewing, baking and cooking, and was an avid reader.
She is loved and will be dearly missed by her 5 children Candace L. (Joe Lutomske) Denton of Watkins Glen, Vincent L. (Lillian) Denton of Riverview, FL, Jerome F. (Donna) Denton of Elmira, Brenda D. (Sean) Keegan of Dundee, Laurie D. (William) Salser of Stuart, VA; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; a sister-in-law Jean Cadwell of Dundee, and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two brothers and one sister.
