Mrs. Nancy J. Rapalee (nee Tyborchek) Vine Grove, KY/Dundee, NY: Mrs. Nancy J. Rapalee, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2024, at the age of 89. Born on March 5, 1935, in Racine, WI, Nancy lived in Dundee, NY, and Gloucester, VA, before settling in Vine Grove, KY, where she spent the remainder of her life. She dedicated herself to raising her family of eleven children and devoted countless hours to volunteering in her community. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Rapalee; her brother Jim Tyborchek; her sister Susan Hummel; and her children, Caroline, Jonathan and Gregory Wick. A woman of many passions, Nancy cherished gardening, painting, and cooking. Her infectious laughter and warm spirit made everyone feel welcome and loved. She is survived by her daughters: Jennifer Ramos, Mary Magee, and Laura German; and her sons: Christopher, Joseph, Patrick, Michael, and Thomas Wick. Nancy will be lovingly remembered by her legacy of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as her cherished friends. The family expresses special gratitude to her caregivers, Melanie and Patrick Wick, and Mary and Ron Magee, for their compassionate support. Nancy's ashes will be interred next to her husband and children in Dundee, NY. A memorial service will be held in her honor at Saint Bridgid's Catholic Church, Vine Grove, KY at a later date.
