Mildred E. Washburn Himrod: Mildred E. Washburn, age 80, of Himrod, passed away Friday September 16, 2016 at F. F. Thompson Memorial Hospital, in Canandaigua, with her loving family at her side. Friends are invited to calling hours from 2-4 pm Monday (Sept. 19) at the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee; where her funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm with Lay Pastor Lew Ann Giles officiating. A reception will follow at the family home. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday (Sept. 20) in Grove Mount Cemetery, Himrod. Memorial contributions may be made to Himrod Fire Department, 3530 Himrod Rd., Himrod, NY 14842-9608 or the charity of the Donor's choice. Mildred was born August 25, 1936 in Penn Yan, NY, the daughter of the late Frank "Francis' Hainsworth and Martha Bump Hainsworth. On October 10, 1952 in Potter, NY she married the late Floyd Frederick Washburn; who passed away on March 12, 2007. A lifelong area resident, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother; she enjoyed bird watching, gardening, crochet, reading, and detailed coloring books. She is loved and will be forever missed by her 2 sons, Floyd B. (Jeanette E. Hines) Washburn of Dundee, Raymond L. (Brandi) Washburn of Himrod; 2 daughters Luckey C. (Ronald Strickhorn) Gleason of Waterloo, Theresa B. (Jim) Kellogg of Himrod; 9 Grandchildren; 15 Great Grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was pre-deceased by a grandson Floyd B. Washburn Jr. in 1984, and a granddaughter Ann M. Washburn Ovenshire in 2012.
