Mary Adelaide O'Droniec Dundee: Mary Adelaide O'Droniec, age 71, of Dundee, originally of New Jersey died Saturday March 14, 2015 at Cayuga Medical Center, in Ithaca, NY. Friends are invited to calling hours from 4:00 – 5:00 pm Friday (Mar. 20) at the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee; where a memorial service will be held at 5:00 pm with Rev. Marilyn Wood officiating. A reception will follow at the Dundee United Methodist Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Dundee Fire Company Emergency Squad, 12 Union St., Dundee, NY 14837. Mary was born April 19, 1943 in Jersey City, NJ, the daughter of the late Edward B. and Mary Onorato Carlee. On Sept. 25, 1961 in St. Peter's Church, in Belleville, NJ she married Leon R. O'Droniec Jr. She was a retired Quality Control Manager having been employed for over 20 years by New Jersey Packing, of Fairfield, NJ; retiring in 2001. She and her husband have summered in Himrod since 1960, and moved here permanently in 2005, formerly of Bloomfield, NJ. Mrs. O'Droniec was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Nutley, NJ., was a star athlete, especially in Field Hockey when she was young, enjoyed ice skating, and ceramics. She is survived by her husband of 54 years Leon R. O'Droniec Jr. at home; a daughter in law Sharon O'Droniec; a granddaughter Mary-Jo O'Droniec both of Belleville, NJ; a grandson Mark L. O'Droniec Jr. at home; a great grandson Ayden J. Suarez also of Belleville, NJ; a sister Margo Carlee Schwier of Cumming, GA; a brother Edward B. (Joann) Carlee of Stuart, FL, and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a son Mark L. O'Droniec Sr. in 2002, and a brother John Francis Carlee of Geneva, NY, in 1998.
