Marjorie Jean ''Hawkins'' Thomas Dundee: Marjorie Jean ''Hawkins'' Thomas, age 69, of Dundee, NY went to be with the Lord Tuesday January 3, 2023. Friends are invited to call hours from 2:00 - 4:00 pm Sunday (Jan. 8) at the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Monday (Jan. 9) at the Barrington Community Church, 4560 Old Bath Rd., Dundee with Deacon Carl Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Barrington Community Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Barrington Community Church, P.O. Box 73, Dundee, NY 14837. Marjorie was born Jan. 16, 1953 in Penn Yan, NY, the daughter of the late Harley Ralph and Louise Imogene Hawkins. She graduated from Horseheads High School in 1971, and attended Corning Community College. She became a Home Health Aide working for over 30 years for Steuben County Public Health Care, out of Bath, NY; retiring in 2006. On July 11, 1987 in the Starkey Methodist Church she married the late John J. Thomas Sr. who passed away on Aug. 6, 2007. She began wintering in Florida, settling in Zephyrhills full time until fall of 2022. Mrs. Thomas was a long time member of the Barrington Church, and Faith Baptist Church in Zephyrhills. She is loved and will be missed by her sister Marilyn L. (Tony) Draper of Hardy, VA; 3 step children whom she loved as her own, Tammy L. (Chris) Walrath of Beaver Dams, NY, John J. (Jennifer) Thomas Jr. of Junius, NY, Douglas J. (Stacy) Thomas of Dundee, 10 grandchildren Justin, Jordan & Jallyn Walrath, Alyssa, Amanda, John J. III; and Benedict, Olivia, Caleb & Carter Thomas; 4 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and inlaws. Besides her parents & Husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Robert A.
