Marie M. Wright Dundee: Marie M. Wright, age 77, of Dundee, NY passed away peacefully at home, succumbing to a terminal illness on Wednesday, March 24, 2021. There will be no public memorial and in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lamoka Baptist Camp, 3646 E. Lamoka Lake Rd, Tyrone, NY 14887. Marie was born April 13, 1943 in Sayre, PA. to the late Paul McClure and Doris Hess McClure. She was the eldest of several half-sisters. On Jan. 13, 1961 in Sarasota, FL she married Harold L. Wright, Sr., who predeceased her on Oct 23rd of 2019. They lived in Florida; North, & South Carolina before moving to Tyrone, NY in 1971 to own and operate Sunset View Farm, a dairy farm until 1999. Marie spent her life being a devoted farm wife and mother to her 3 children. She earned a degree in business management from EBI later in life and worked at Best Western in Pine Valley and Longhouse Motel in Watkins Glen. A faithful, devoted, active member of the Faith Baptist Church, her family and church were the most important things in her life. She was passionate about volunteering her time and energies to various church activities, especially the children's programs. She is loved and will be dearly missed by her 2 daughters Anna Marie M. Wright of Stanley, Patricia (Timothy Spaulding) Nash of Chesapeake VA; her son Harold L. Wright Jr. of Buffalo; her 2 grandsons Stephen J. Nash of California and Jonathan M. Nash of South Carolina.
