Dundee: Lucinda B. ''Cindy'' Paddock, age 76, of Dundee, NY passed away on Wednesday January 21, 2026 at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, Penn Yan, NY.
Honoring her wishes there are no prior calling hours. While flowers, and food would be appreciated, kindly wait until the celebration of Her Life in the spring on a date to be announced. Lucinda was born April 11, 1949 in Moriah Center, NY, the daughter of Bessie Jean Baker. Originally from the Adirondacks, she has lived in numerous locations due to her family's work dynamics. She graduated from Hammondsport High School in 1968. On June 18, 1983, 12 years after they met; she married James E. Paddock in Dundee. Cindy's working career began with Penn Yan Boats before accepting a position with Coach and Equipment, where she retired after over 20 years of employment. Cindy loved sewing, and animals; she enjoyed collecting pigs, reading, and earned the family nickname "Martha Stewart", while other loved one's lovingly called her "Two Shoes" and "Sweet Potato"
She will be forever missed by her husband of 42 years, soul mate for 54 years James E. Paddock at home; her sister Brenda B. (Daryl) Ames of Dundee; her brother Bruce E. Baker of Stanley, NY; a nephew Kyle L. (Christine) Ames of Himrod and their son, great nephew Hunter Ames; a niece Sarah Baker of Rochester; tons of cousins and many nieces and nephews on Jim's side of the family. She will be especially missed by her Fur Baby "Catness".
She was pre-deceased by her mother and stepfather, Bessie Jean and William Brooks.
