Luanne Webster Bennett Watkins Glen/Dundee: Luanne Webster Bennett, age 72, originally of Dundee, formerly of Watkins Glen, passed away Friday June 16, 2023 at the Penn Yan Manor Nursing Home, in Penn Yan, N.Y. Honoring family wishes there are no prior calling hours. A Celebration of Her Life will be held from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Friday June 30, 2023 in the Dundee VFW pavilion, Seneca St. Ext. Dundee, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to Dundee Fire Company or the Emergency Squad, 12 Union St., Dundee, NY 14837. Luanne was born August 28, 1950 in Penn Yan, NY, the daughter of the late Howard Donald and Elinor (Miller) Webster. She graduated from Dundee Central School in 1968; and went on to graduate from Elmira Beauty School. On March 1, 1969 in Dundee, NY she married the late Walter L. Bennett who passed away on May 2, 2022. A life long area resident Luanne worked for several beauty salons before she opened her own in Dundee appropriately named Luanne's Beauty Salon. She will also be remembered for her many years working at Walmart in Watkins Glen, and as a member of Dundee Baptist Church. She will be forever missed by her three children, son Jeffrey W. (Holly)Bennett of Elmira, daughter Antionette "Toni" (Ralph) Warren of Dundee, son Kenneth (Ruby) Bennett of Penn Yan; 5 grandchildren Amber Warren (Jeremy) of Union Star, MO, Dustin (Samantha) Warren of Dundee, Chelsey (Stephen) Chappell and Tori Bennett both of Penn Yan, Ethan Bennett of Elmira; 3 great grandchildren Avery and Madison Warren, & Brylee Chappell; 2 brothers Terry W. Webster of Penn Yan, Howard Michael (Lorrie) Webster of Belton, MO; 4 sisters Linda D. (Joseph) Young and Donna M. (Robert) Bergmark both of Dundee, Mari E.(John) Gauck of Montour Falls, Judy L. (Anthony) DeLaurentiis or Trumansburg, along with countless nieces and nephews.
