Loretta ''Lori'' K. Orsley Himrod NY/St. Augustine FL: Loretta ''Lori'' K. Orsley, age 79, of Himrod, NY passed away Thursday October 3, 2024 at Keuka Comfort Care Home, in Penn Yan, NY. Loretta was born November 17, 1944 in Niagara Falls, NY, one of three daughters of the late George and Catherine (Romance) Bocek. She graduated from Savona High School in 1962. She continued her education at Alfred University earning her Bachelor Degree, and then her Master's Degree in Education from SUNY New Paltz. On June 26, 1965 in Bath, NY she married the late Gerald L. Orsley, who passed away on August 19, 2015. "Lori" worked as a guidance counselor for many years, retiring from Middletown H.S. Middletown, NY. After her retirement she and her husband spent winters in St. Augustine, FL. and summers on the west shores of her beloved Seneca Lake, as she continued to do even after his passing. Mrs. Orsley was a member of the NYS Teachers Assoc., and Lakeside Country Club in Penn Yan, NY; she was an avid golfer, bridge and Mahjong player and enjoyed spending time with her many dear friends. She is survived by her son Sean P. Orsley of Schenectady, NY; 2 sisters Carole (William) Machnicki of Jewett City, CT, and Nadine M. Bocek of Himrod, NY; along with several nieces and nephews, and countless friends in Florida, and throughout New York.
