Linda M. Potter Penn Yan: Linda M. Potter, age 72, of Penn Yan, NY died accidently on Wednesday June 3, 2015 at Strong Memorial Hospital, in Rochester, N.Y. Friends are invited to calling hours from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. Monday (June 8) at the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee; where her funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm with Pastor Natalie Bowerman officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Dundee. Memorial contributions may be made to Benton United Methodist Church P.O. Linda was born September 1, 1942 in Penn Yan, NY, the daughter of the late Clarence S. and Dorothy Bailey Morehouse. She graduated from Dundee Central School class of 1960, and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Keuka College in 1964. In 1982 she received her master's in Nursing from Hunter College in New York City. On November 30, 1968 in Keuka College Norton Chapel she married the late Cyril James Potter, who passed away on October 14, 2008. She had nursing jobs in the Bronx and New Jersey until 1990 when she moved back to Penn Yan, NY. She worked at Keuka College from 1991 until she retired in 2001. Mrs. Potter was a member of Benton United Methodist Church, Home Bureau, and the Red Hat Society. She was a member of the United Methodist Women. She enjoyed crocheting, playing cards, and spending time with her family and friends. She will be missed by her sister Janet Sisson of Albuquerque, N.M.; a brother Phil (Mary) Morehouse of Barrington, NY, dear nieces and nephews Mike (Chris) Morehouse of Penn Yan, Cathy (Sam) Marusarz of Dundee, Carla Newberry, and Jim Sisson both of New Mexico; great nieces and nephews Amanda and Mitch Morehouse, and Brooke and Chelsey Marusarz; along with several more in New Mexico; and her faithful furry friend "Evie" Besides her parents, and husband, she was pre-deceased by a brother in law Carlton Sisson on June 1, 2004.
