Lenora P. ‘Noni’ Norton
Dundee: Lenora P. ‘Noni’ Norton, age 75, of Dundee, NY passed away Sunday June 7, 2026 at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, in Penn Yan, NY.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon Friday June 12, at the Barrington Community Church, 4560 Old Bath Rd., Dundee; where her funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon with Deacon Carl Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Barrington Community Church Cemetery.

Lenora, known to most as ‘Noni’ was born July 3, 1950 in Cortland, NY, the daughter of the late John Francis and Betty Jean (Jones) Park. She graduated from Groton Central School in 1968. Moving to the area in 1981 from Harford, NY; ‘Noni’ was employed by Coach & Equipment, of Penn Yan, NY as the Receivables Clerk, until her health forced her early retirement in 1984. On Dec. 15, 1985 in the Wayne Baptist Church she married Lyle A. ‘Sonny’ Norton, who tragically passed away on August 3, 2000. Mrs. Norton was a devoted and active member of the Barrington Church, having been the former Treasurer, Bulletin Editor, and Grounds Keeper. In her “spare” time, she enjoyed collecting stuffed animals and music boxes, she was an avid reader and loved watching videos.
She is survived by 2 sons, Jon E. (Lisa) Lyons of Volin, SD, sand Timothy R. (Jaci) Lyons with whom she made her home; a sister Linda K. VanBerkom of Ithaca, NY; and 4 grandchildren Dominic A. Lyons, Gabriel J. (Heidi) Lyons, Thomas Storm Lyons, and Claudya R. (Bryan Merrill) Lyons; 5 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a sister Jaclyn J. Park in 2014, and Jaclyn’s son, a nephew, John Jared Savage who was KIA in Afghanistan on Dec. 4, 2008.
