Lawrence David Jackson
Dundee: Lawrence David Jackson, age 87, of Dundee, NY formerly of Horseheads, passed away Friday October 11, 2024 at Keuka Comfort Care Home, in Penn Yan, NY.
Honoring his wishes there will be no prior calling hours. A Celebration of His Life will be held from 1:00 – 4:00 pm Saturday November 2, at the Showboat Hotel on Seneca Lake 3434 N. Plum Point Rd. Himrod, NY 14842.

Lawrence was born May 18, 1937 in Elmira, N.Y., the son of the late Ernest D. and Edith (Kinsman) Jackson. He married the former Barbara Lee Watach, who passed away on April 16, 2003.
He worked for many years in the lumber business, having started with Cotton Hanlon Lumber, which became Coastal Lumber from whom he retired in 1999; and is currently Wagner Lumber in Cayuta, NY.
Mr. Jackson loved the outdoors, and the beauty of the scenery and surrounding lakes. He enjoyed going out to eat as often as possible, and had a passion for tractors, and trucks, always inspecting new models and features.
He is loved and will be missed by his 2 sons, David L. Jackson, and Jeffrey M. (Cindy) Jackson both of Dundee, NY; 6 grandsons, Joshua (Cheri) Jackson of Erin, NY, Benjamin (Michelle) Jackson of Big Flats, NY, Gregory (Bobbi) DeHaan of Sayre, PA, Peter DeHaan of Elmira, N.Y., Timothy (Emily) DeHaan of Vestal, NY, and Matthew (Lindsay) DeHaan of Charlotte, NC; 9 great grandchildren; and a nephew David Lee Duel of Port Richey, FL.
Besides his parents, and wife, he was predeceased by a sister Phyllis Payne of Brooksville, FL.
