Kyle Leigh Thingvoll Penn Yan: Kyle Leigh Thingvoll, age 35, of Penn Yan, NY died unexpectedly on Saturday June 18, 2016 at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, in Penn Yan, NY. Honoring Kyle's wishes family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Her Life, from 2:00 – 4:00 pm Saturday June 25 at the Dundee VFW, Seneca St. Ext. Dundee, NY. Inurnment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Dundee, at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to her favorite charity the Humane Society of Yates County, P.O. Box 12, Penn Yan, NY 14527. Kyle was born January 5, 1981 in Montour Falls, NY, the daughter of Harold K. Thingvoll and the former Kathryn J. Hines. She graduated with a Regents Diploma from Dundee Central School in 1998. Kyle was a former Chef, having started in the kitchen and quickly promoted to Head Chef of Lakeside Country Club in Penn Yan, before becoming the Executive Head Chef for the former Sarrasins Restaurant on Keuka Lake in Penn Yan. She was currently employed as a CNA by The Homestead Nursing Home in Penn Yan. Miss Thingvoll was a former member of Dundee American Legion Bradley-Jessop Post #660, Ladies Auxiliary; had an extreme love of animals, enjoyed fishing, craved reading, and was thrilled by the challenge of playing SUDOKU. She is loved and will be dearly missed by her mother Kathryn J. (Ted) Hilligus; and her father Harold K. Thingvoll both of Dundee; her brother Jon M. Thingvoll of Grove, VA; her extended family Crystal (Pete) Galusha, Sonya (Justin) Foster, and Ryan (Jennifer) Hilligus; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins; and countless friends.
