Kent A. Gibson Dundee: Kent A. Gibson, age 77, of Dundee, NY died unexpectedly on Saturday December 29, 2012 at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, in Penn Yan, NY. There are no prior calling hours. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday (Jan. 3) at the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee with Rev. Lucinda O'Leary officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Dundee Fire Company Emergency Squad, 12 Union St., Dundee, NY 14837. Kent was born September 9, 1935 in Canandaigua, NY, the son of the late Sheldon and Beulah Wood Gibson. He graduated from Dundee Central School in 1953. On Oct. 14, 1956 he married the love of his life who just happened to have the same last name Lois E. Gibson; and they have shared 56 years together. A mechanic all his life, he was employed for many years by Palmer Chevy & Olds, of Dundee, NY. Having never really retired, he has always enjoyed fixing things for people, and restoring antique tractors. As an antique tractor enthusiast, he belonged to the N.Y. Steam Engine Assoc. of Canandaigua; Ontario Stream & Antique Preservers of Ontario, Canada, Somerset Tractor & Steam, Somerset, VA, Cool Springs Power Museum in Cool Springs, PA; and was a former president of Tioga County Early Days in Covington, PA. He is survived and will be dearly missed by his wife Lois E. Gibson at home; 2 daughters Roberta L. Gibson and he husband Steve Naranjo of Chandler, AZ, Rebecca "Becky" A. (Victor) Ruiz-Velasco of Hershey, PA; 3 grandchildren Nathan Naranjo, Justin and Leah Ruiz-Velasco;' numerous nieces and nephews; and countless friends. He was pre-deceased by 2 brothers Lee E.
