John C. Waltman Jr. Dundee: John C. Waltman Jr., age 74, of Dundee, NY died Monday January 23, 2012 at Geneva General Hospital, in Geneva, N.Y. Honoring his wishes there are no prior calling hours. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Cornerstone Bible Fellowship Church c/o Kenneth Mast 5080 Bigelow Hill Rd. Dundee, NY 14837. John was born May 9, 1937 in Chester County, PA, the son of the late John C. and Anne Ankney Waltman Sr. He graduated from Oxford High School in Oxford, PA in 1956. On October 9, 1971 in Elkton, Maryland he married the former Florence M. Hunter. They have lived locally since 1976, previously of Lincoln University, PA. A mechanic specializing in tractor and farm equipment repair, he was the proprietor of Waltman Machine Shop, in Dundee. Mr. Waltman was a member of Cornerstone Bible Fellowship Church; the Y.A.T.E.S. Club - Yates Antique Tractor & Engine Society; and a former member of the Canandaigua Steam Engine Assoc., and the Rough and Tumble Engineers Historical Assoc., and enjoyed participating in their Steam Pageants and Shows. He is loved and will be dearly missed by his wife of 40 years, Florence M. Waltman, and a daughter Nancy L. Waltman both at home; several nieces, nephews, and in laws.
