Joan Elizabeth (Hoover) Martin Rushville: Joan Elizabeth (Hoover) Martin, age 45 years 6 months 16 days, of Rushville, NY passed away unexpectedly on Friday April 9, 2021 at Strong Memorial Hospital, in Rochester, N.Y. Family and friends are invited to calling hours from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Wednesday (Apr 14), at the Lakeland Mennonite Church, 389 Rock Stream Rd., Rock Stream, NY; where her funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Thursday (Apr. 15). Burial will follow in Keuka Lake Mennonite Church Cemetery, 2570 State Rte. 14A, Penn Yan, N.Y. Joan was born in Vineland, NJ, the daughter of Ella Mae (Sensenig) and the late Martin M. Hoover who passed away in October of 2008. On March 2, 1996 in Myerstown, PA she married Daryl Groff Martin. They moved to New York from Myerstown in 2008. Mrs. Martin was a member of the Keuka Lake Mennonite Church. In addition to her husband Daryl, she is survived by her 3 children Darren Martin of Andover, NY, Trenten Martin, and her daughter Stephanie Martin both at home; her mother Ella Mae Hoover of Lebanon, PA, 2 sisters Jane (Darrel) Haldeman of Springfield Center, NY, Lois (Eugene) Fox of Myerstown, a brother Martin Lee (Carolyn) Hoover of Lebanon, PA, along with Daryl's parents Marlin and Martha Martin of Myerstown, and brother in laws Michael (Jeanette) Martin of Myerstown, PA, Wendell (Emily) Martin of Kenton, OH; sister in laws Cheryl (Tim) Groff of Richland, PA, Charlene (Melvin) Nolt of Waterloo, NY Brenda (Eldon) Steiner of Thorp, WI; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
