Joan Arlene Cole Dundee: Joan Arlene Cole, age 82, of Dundee, NY, formerly of Endicott passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday December 5, 2023 at the home of her son. Joan was born March 27, 1941 in Carbondale, PA, the daughter of the late Norbert and Florence (Burdick) Correll. She graduated from Union Endicott High School. Joan married and was the widow of the late Bernard 'Bernie' Cole who passed away in May of 2002. Mrs. Cole was a Robotic Engineer for I.B.M in Owego, NY until 1992. She continued doing the same job for Lockheed-Martin until 2004. Not one to sit still, she continued to work until 2010 as a Health Care Aid at Castle Gardens in Vestal, NY. In 2012, she moved to Dundee, to live with her son and his family, and enjoy her grandchildren; while always cheering for the Dallas Cowboys, and the New York Yankees. While living in Endicott Joan was a member of United Methodist Church of Endicott. She is survived by her son Rodney A. (Shawn) Cole with whom she made her home, 4 grandchildren Jennifer L. Ketzak of Binghamton, NY, Preston Z. Cole, Lacy O. Cole, Myah P. Cole; and great granddaughter Amelia O. Cole all at home; a brother Lloyd (Beverly) Correll of Waverly, NY; a sister Carol Shanley of Owego, NY; and several nieces and nephews. In addition, Joan had several loving in laws, Douglas Cole of Syracuse, NY, Pearl Haus, Owego, NY, and Charlotte Smith of Poughkeepsie, NY. She was pre-deceased by 2 sons Russell B. Cole and Robert L. Cole; and a grandson Dominic J. Cole, and in laws Lina Rouse of Rancho Cordova, CA, and Margorie Atkinson, of Elmira, NY. Honoring her wishes there will be no calling hours or public service.
