Dundee: Jessica L. Hathaway, age 51, of Dundee, town of Tyrone, NY unexpectedly passed away on Thursday May 14, 2026 at Corning Center for Rehabilitation, in Corning, NY.

The family will receive friends and family from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. Saturday June 6, at the Baird Funeral Home 36 Water St. Dundee, NY where a memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. with Lay Pastor Lew Ann Giles officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Schuyler County, 124 Marina Dr., Montour Falls, NY 14865.

Jessica was born July 31, 1974 in Elmira, NY, the daughter of Clifton C. and Carolyn J. (Southard) Hathaway. She graduated from Hammondsport High School in 1992. A care giver by nature, she became the savior to her parents, by helping to care for her mom until she passed away in 2009, and her dad right up until her own health began to falter. Her life mission was that of a loving caring person to all who she met, including animals.

She is loved and will be forever missed by her 2 sons Alex B. (Jessica) Hathaway of Penn Yan, and Ryan A. (Christa Muller) Hathaway of Rock Stream, NY; her father Clifton “Chuck” Hathaway with whom she made her home; her loving sister Heidi M. (Leann) Hathaway also at home, helping her care for their father; 2 grandsons Jordan and Shawn Hathaway; and her aunt Grace Williams of Dundee.

Besides her mother, she was predeceased by her paternal grandparents Bud & Betty Hathaway of Rock Stream, and her maternal grandmother Shirley Southard of Yreka, California.
