Jeffrey J. Searles Himrod: Jeffrey J. Searles, age 27, of Himrod, NY passed away Wednesday November 26, 2014 at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, Penn Yan, NY. Friends may call from 4-8 pm Monday (Dec. 1) at the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday (Dec. 2) at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 332 Main St., Penn Yan with Pastor Ron Woudenberg officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Himrod Fire Department, 3530 Himrod Rd., Himrod, NY 14842 or the Seneca Lake Duck Hunters Assoc., P.O. Box 15 Dresden, NY 14441. Jeffrey was born May 12, 1987 in Geneva, NY, the son of Neil W. Searles and Marilyn S. Goldsmith Searles. He graduated from Dundee Central School in 2006. He worked and was the self appointed "Social Director" at the A.R.C. of Yates, in Penn Yan, NY. He enjoyed attending Emmanuel Baptist Church. A true people person, Jeff loved music and dancing, attending sporting events, but his favorite activity was racing; any form of racing, dirt track to NASCAR, if it involved high speed action, he was there. He is loved and will be dearly missed by his mother "Lynn" G. (Mark) Sutherland at home, his father Neil W. (Maureen Hendrix)Searles of Himrod; 2 brothers Quinn (Chris) Sutherland of Dundee, Shawn (Kerri) Searles of Penn Yan, 5 sisters Barbara Sutherland of Florida, Heather (Nick) Sorce of Dundee, Jennifer (Scott Ingerick) Searles of Geneva, Kristie (Chris Miller) Sutherland, Kimberly (Link Hoffman) Sutherland both at home; maternal grandmother Marjorie Williams of Florida; maternal grandparents Alfred (Kay) Goldsmith of Long Island, NY; paternal grandmother Ethel Searles of Penn Yan; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, & cousins.
