Jeffrey A. Morehouse

Bradford: Jeffrey A. Morehouse, age 56, of Bradford, NY passed away in the comfort of his home on Friday September 15, 2017.

Friends are invited to calling hours from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Sunday (Sept. 24) at the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee; where a memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm with Lay Pastor Lew Ann Giles officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Bradford Volunteer Fire Company, Main St., Bradford, NY 14815; or to CareFirst, 3805 Meads Creek Rd., Corning, NY 14870.

Jeffrey was born February 5, 1961 in the town of Urbana, NY, the son of Douglas N. and Carrie Ella {Hayes} Morehouse. He graduated from Bradford High School in 1979. Jeff was a contractor all his life, having worked with his Dad at Morehouse Construction in Bradford and then Austin Construction for many years. On Nov. 19, 2011 in Bradford, NY he married the former Lisa A. Byrnside Buckley. He retired due to his health in 2012. Jeff was a member of the Sons of the American Legion, in Wayne, NY; and the N.R.A.; in his spare time he loved hunting and NASCAR.

He is loved and will be forever missed by his wife Lisa A. Morehouse at home; 5 children Derrick L. LaBar, Jeffrey D. Donnelly, Justin M. (Ashley) Buckley, Haley S. (Ken) Rumsey, and Tasha R. Morehouse; 16 grandchildren; his mother Carrie Ella (William) England of Sahuarita, AZ; step mother Becky Morehouse of Bradford; his best friend Doug (Suzanne Pajawa) Lindstrom of New Jersey.

He was pre-deceased by his father Douglas N. Morehouse on Dec. 9, 2016; and a granddaughter Annalise Buckley on June 22, 2017.
