Irma M. Nielsen

Chicago, IL: Irma M. Nielsen, age 87, of Chicago, IL formerly of Dundee, died Saturday October 27, 2018 at Carlton At The Lake, in Chicago, IL.

Calling hours will be from 12:00 noon – 1:00 p.m. Thursday Nov. 1, 2018 at the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee; where her funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Lori Nickoloff officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Dundee.

Irma was born December 8, 1930 in Mamaroneck, NY, the daughter of the late Gustive and Maria {Schultz} Duker. On June 9, 1951 in Brooklyn, NY she married Donald H. Nielsen who passed away on March 27, 2001. She and her husband moved to Dundee in 1988 from Holbrook, Long island; she has lived in Chicago since 2008. Mrs. Nielsen was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Penn Yan.

She is survived by a son John R. (Lisa) Nielsen of Evanston, IL; a daughter Catherine M. Nielsen of Endwell, NY, 3 grandchildren Brian, Christian, and Brianna Nielsen; a nephew Bobby Nielsen, and a niece Carol Nielsen

Besides her parents, and husband, she was pre-deceased by a son Richard W. Nielsen on Feb. 17, 2009.
