Irene Twardowski Miller Dundee: Irene Twardowski Miller, age 90, of Dundee, NY died Tuesday December 3, 2013 surrounded by her loving family at Strong Memorial Hospital, in Rochester, N.Y. Family and friends are invited to call from 11:00 a.m.- 12:00 noon Friday (Dec. 6) at the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee; where her funeral service will be held at 12 noon with Father Patrick Connor officiating. Box 278996 Rochester, NY 14627. Irene was born May 16, 1923 in Passaic, NJ, the daughter of the late John and Anna Gorecki Twardowski. On Oct. 16, 1948 in Passaic, she married the late Karl B. Miller Jr.; he passed away on Dec. 10, 1972. She moved to Dundee in 1979, and worked for several years in the 80's as a teacher's aid, and remedial reading teacher at Dundee Central School. Mrs. Miller was a member of the former St . Andrews Catholic Church in Dundee; and enjoyed drawing, painting, reading, and socializing with family and friends. She is loved and will be dearly missed by her daughter Mary Anna (Richard) Poole of Raynham, MA; 3 grandsons Joshua R. (Karla) Poole of Fort Campbell, KY, Robert E. Poole II of New Bedford, MA, Daniel W. Poole of Raynham, MA; her sister in law Margot Twardowski; a nephew Richard Twardowski II; and a niece Linda (Daniel Chu) Twardowski all of Sugar Land, TX; nieces Irene (Louie) Broussard of Austin, TX, and Monika (Alex) Hann of Bowling Green, OH; and numerous cousins. Besides her parents, and husband, she was pre-deceased by a baby sister Jennie Twardowski in 1926; and her very dear brother Richard V. Twardowski in 2008.
