IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Gerald K.
Fultz
November 30, 1947 – August 28, 2017
Jerry Fultz
Dundee: Gerald Keith "Jerry" Fultz, 69, died suddenly August 28 while at his Allentown, Pennsylvania house. Since his retirement in 2007 he returned to the family Log City farm and his Harpending Ave., Dundee house.
There are no calling hours. A memorial service for Jerry Fultz will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday September 12 at the Baird Funeral Home 36 Water St., Dundee, NY.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Dundee Area Historical Society P.O. Box 153 Dundee, NY 14837
Jerry was born August 8, 1948 to Earl L. and Annie, (Betty) Leach Fultz. He graduated from Dundee Central School in 1966, graduated from Delhi University in 1968. He was hired immediately by a Scout from Buckeye Pipeline Company of Allentown, Pennsylvania. Required to serve in the Military at that time he joined the U.S. Navy Seabees construction force serving a tour in Viet Nam before discharge. Following his return from service he began his 39-year career with Buckeye and purchased a home in Allentown, Pennsylvania. During the course of his employment he furthered his education at Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania receiving his Pipeline Engineering degree. Over the years he was head of Buckeye's engineering department. Towards retirement years Jerry was Project Manager for many pipeline installations which meant being away from home base two or three years at a time. The last two projects were in San Diego California and Memphis Tennessee.
Jerry was a "to himself" kind of guy but he did enjoy watching the Stock Market result, sports on TV, kept up with the DCS Football games from results published in the Dundee paper and in person when he was home. He enjoyed NASCAR races and reading about the Dundee races and following his cousin's race results. He mostly enjoyed spending quiet time at the family farm and the walks around the fields and woods. He did look forward to, supported and enjoyed his DCS Class of 1966 reunions and connecting with classmates.
Surviving him is his beloved pet dog Miss Jerri Buddy Fultz. His brother, Earl L. Fultz of Estacada, Oregon, cousin Bill, (Julia) Fultz of Dundee, many second and third cousins and friends. He was pre-deceased by his parents and brother Ray Fultz in 1970.
