Frederick C. ''Fred'' Farr Hammondsport: Frederick C. ''Fred'' Farr, age 47, of Hammondsport, NY died unexpectedly on Thursday November 29, 2012 at home. There are no prior calling hours. A Celebration of His Life will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday January 13, 2012; with a Dish to Pass gathering at the Waneta Inn,4015 East Lake Rd.,Dundee. Inurnment will be in the summer. Fred was born Feb. 5, 1965 inBath,NY, the son of the late Elwin R. and Sandra J. Brown Farr. A Chef, Fred was employed by The Waneta Inn; and had been a chef at the former Branding Iron for many years. In his spare time, he'd rather be hunting or fishing. He loved life and was a friend to many. He had a charismatic personality with an endearing child like quality that few could resist. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. He is survived by his Soul Mate and Companion for over 14 years Mary Anne Mistretta with whom he made his home; his best friend and brother Frank (Deanna) Farr of Rock Stream, NY; and his loving sister Lori Farr-Baxter of Elmira NY, niece and nephew (Jillian, Ryan), brother-in-law Bill Bason of Wayne NY, nieces and nephew (Nicole, Courtney, Jessica, Ashley, Christopher); numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
