Francis E. ''Fran'' Leone Sr. Dundee: Francis E. ''Fran'' Leone Sr., age 74, of Dundee, NY died Monday December 26, 2016 at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, in Penn Yan, NY. Honoring his wishes there will be no prior calling hours. A Celebration of his Life will be held at Valicia's Ristoranté at 2155 Long Pond Rd. Rochester, NY 14606 beginning at 12:00 noon on Saturday (Jan.7). In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Tyrone Volunteer Ambulance Corp., P.O. Box 69, Tyrone, NY 14887. Fran was born April 26, 1942 in Rochester, NY, the son of the late Samuel and Josephine Rose Galardi Leone. He graduated from Jefferson High School in Rochester in 1960. He served in the U.S. Army from 1962-1964. On August 23, 1974 in Rochester he married the former Sharon J. Reed. A truck driver for all of his life, he had worked for Rist in Phelps, Ryder in Webster, and was currently employed delivering propane for J. M. Trucking, in Reading Center NY. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping, but his favorite time was spent with his grandchildren. He is loved and will be dearly missed by his wife of 42 years Sharon J. Leone at home; 2 sons Francis E. "Fran" (Kim) Leone Jr. of Hilton, NY, Raymond C. "Ray" (Donna) Leone of Rushville , NY; a daughter Amy-Beth (Randy) Abbey of Dundee; 4 grandchildren Jessica (Dave) Burland of Canandaigua, NY, Brooke (Jordan Crowe) Leone of Webster, NY, Nicholas F. (Zayna Hartman) Scott of Pulteney, NY, Samantha R. Scott of Dundee; a sister Carol (Michael) Lamendola, a brother James Leone, and a Godson Barry (Mary Beth) Lamendola all of Rochester, NY, along with many more nieces and nephews.
