Ethel B. Warren Wayne, Barrington, Penn Yan: Ethel B. Warren, age 97, currently of Penn Yan, formerly of Barrington and Wayne; was called home to the Lord on August 7, 2023 at Keuka Comfort Care Home, in Penn Yan; with her family at her side. Calling hours will be from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Saturday August 12, 2023 at the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee; where her funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Peter Fryer officiating. Burial will be in private in Wayne Village Cemetery, Wayne, NY. A reception to follow will be announced. Memorial contributions may be made to Arc of Chemung-Schuyler 203 12th St. Watkins Glen, NY 14891, or the Keuka Comfort Care Home P.O. Box, 107, Penn Yan, NY 14527. Ethel was born May 13, 1926 in Thurston, NY, the only daughter of the late Philip T. and Nora (Baldwin) Wolcott. On June 26, 1943 in Horseheads, NY she married Albert C. Warren and they raised four loving children. She was a loving, dedicated wife, mother and grandmother who took so much pride in her family. She and her husband were the owners of Al's Campsites, on Waneta Lake, NY; she had also worked at the former Eclipse in Elmira Heights; the Wayne General Store, and local vineyards; as well as private housekeeping for several prominent families. Mrs. Warren professed her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and a was a member of the Waneta Lake Baptist Chapel, a former Sunday School Secretary, a Founding Mother of The Retarded Children Assoc. of Chemung Co., Past Matron, and former member of the Tyrone Chapter # 612 Order of The Eastern Star, and a former member of the Champagne Whirl-a-ways of Bath, NY. She loved square dancing, cooking, camping, snowmobiling and most of all time spent with her beloved family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert C. Warren, a son Donald W. Warren, a grandson Alan McIntosh and 3 brothers and wives George (Betty) Wolcott, Robert (Arlene) Wolcott, and James Neish. She is loved and will be dearly missed by her 2 sons, Philip (Gloria) Warren of Barrington; Gerald A. (Carol) Warren of Penn Yan; her only daughter Diana (John) McIntosh of Waneta Lake; 5 grandchildren, Richard Warren of Belona, NY, Pam (Ryan) Seaman of Macedon, NY, Carrie (Paul) Hopkins of Penn Yan, Rebecca (Todd) Whitford of Keuka Park, and Megan (Christopher) Reay of Penn Yan; 11 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
