Eldred M. Peck Liberty MO. / Dundee, NY: Eldred M. Peck, age 86, of Liberty, MO formerly of Dundee, NY died Wednesday September 18, 2013 at Liberty Hospital, in Liberty, MO. There will be no prior calling hours. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday Oct. 12, at the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street Dundee with Lay Pastor Lew Ann Giles officiating. The family will receive friends at a reception following the inurnment in Hillside Cemetery, Dundee. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Assoc. Finger Lakes Chapter, 2113 Chili Ave., Rochester, NY 14624. Eldred was born February 25, 1927 in Dundee, NY, a daughter of the late William H. and Ethel Retan Pierce. On June 7, 1946 in Dundee she married the father of her children James J. Thompson who passed away on April 5, 1963. Ellie worked as a waitress for many years in the Penn Yan, and Dresden area. She remarried on Sept. 3, 1987; when she and Dean E. Peck exchanged vows in Williamson, NY. Together they built a log home on 11 acres on Porters Corners Rd, Dundee; which was a very happy time in her life. Dean passed away on June 6, 2011. In July of that same year she moved to Iowa to live with her daughter and in November they moved to Liberty, MO to be near extended family. She is loved and will be missed by her daughter Sandra L. (James) Hemenway with whom she made her home; 2 grandsons James J. (Susan) Hemenway also of Liberty, MO, Brian M. (Cheyenne) Hemenway of Wilmington, NC; 7 great grandchildren; One of 14 children she is survived by her brother Richard (Joyce) Pierce of Dundee, NY; 2 sisters Ivah (Harry) Yost of Corning, NY, Winnie Trenchard also of Dundee; and countless nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, and husbands, she was pre-deceased by her infant son Dale Eugene Thompson in 1948; 7 sisters; and 3 brothers.
