Edward T. 'Ace' VanValkenburg Penn Yan/Dundee: Edward T. 'Ace' VanValkenburg, age 59, of Penn Yan, previously of Dundee, NY died Tuesday December 15, 2015 after a brief battle with cancer, in the comfort of his sister's home surrounded by her family. Honoring his wishes there were no calling hours. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Those wishing may make memorial contributions to the charity of their choice. Ed was born October 5, 1956 in Lyons, NY, the only son of the late Thomas E. and Eleanor V. Baldwin VanValkenburg. "Ace" as he liked to be called was a former employee of Birkett Mills, Penn Yan Boat Company, and most recently of J&J Auto, in Clifton Springs, NY. He will be sadly missed by his 3 sisters Sally (Lawrence) Fiero of Penn Yan, Eleanor (Lawrence) Bower of Waterloo, and Linda S. (Robert) Hadley with whom he made his home; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Arrangements were entrusted to the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee.
