Obituary

Edward E. Den Hollander Jr. Dundee: Edward Everett Den Hollander Jr., age 78, of Dundee, NY passed away due to complications caused by Agent Orange on Thursday June 12, 2025 in the comfort of his home with his family at his side. Honoring his wishes there are no prior calling hours. A Celebration of His Life will be held from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. Saturday Sept. 20, at the Dundee V.F.W. 125 Seneca St. Extension, Dundee, NY. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday Sept. 26, in Bath National Cemetery, Bath, NY. Edward was born February 12, 1947 in Franklin Lakes, NJ, the son of the late Edward and Maude (Baldauf) Den Hollander Sr. He left school to serve in the US Army 9th Infantry Div. in Vietnam. He was a retired diesel mechanic having been employed by Baldin Enterprises, in Sparta, NJ. Mr. Den Hollander was a member and Past Commander of the Dundee V.F.W. Goodrich-Smith Post #8649, member of the 9th Infantry Division Mobil Riverine Force, and a Life Member of the NRA. He is survived by his son Edward E. Den Hollander III with whom he made his home; his daughter Laura A. Johnson of Bradford, NY; 3 grandchildren Alyssa, Ella, and Ben; 2 sisters; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a brother and 2 sisters Arrangements entrusted with the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee.
