Earl G. Gary Dundee: Earl G. Gary, age 79, of Dundee, NY died Wednesday March 1, 2017 at The Homestead, in Penn Yan, N.Y.. Friends are invited to calling hours from 5-7 pm Monday (Mar. 6) at the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee; where his funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm with Lay Pastor Lew Ann Giles officiating. Burial with Military Honors will be at 11:00 am Tuesday (Mar. 7) in Hillside Cemetery, Dundee. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Dundee Fire Company, or the Dundee Fire Company Emergency Squad 12 Union St., Dundee, NY 14837. Earl was born Dec. 19, 1937 in Clyde, NY, the son of Earl and Josie Colgrove-Gary Waright. He served in the United States Army from 1961-1967. In July of 1973 in Dundee, NY he married the former Winifred Pulver, who predeceased him on Sept. 9, 1999. Earl worked for Sylvania in Seneca Falls for 16 years prior to the 11 years he spent with Clyde Milling Company. He then worked for a short time at the Canandaigua V. A. Hospital, before taking a position as a Material Handler for Zotos International in Geneva, NY; where he retired from, after 10 years of service on Jan. 15, 1999. On Nov. 18, 2000 in Dundee, he married the former Beverly A. Harkness-Dykes. He has lived in Dundee since 2001, previously of Bellona, NY. Mrs. Gary was a member of Dundee Baptist Church, an avid sportsman, who loved fishing and hunting in his younger years. He is survived by his wife of 16 years Beverly A. Gary at home; 4 step children Fledra Ector of Watkins Glen, NY, Melody A. Jefferson, Daniel J. Dykes, and Mechelle L. (Paul) Davis all of Dundee, NY; 13 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; a brother in law Alfred Lawrence of Wayne, NY; and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and his wife, he was pre-deceased by a step son Craig Dykes on Dec. 1, 2010, a dear sister in law Stella Lawrence on May 16, 2009, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
