E. Carl Anderson Sr. Bradford: E. Carl Anderson Sr., age 86, of Bradford, NY passed away on Monday October 22, 2018 in the comfort of his home with his son and daughter in law present. Friends are invited to calling hours from 3-5 p.m. Sunday Oct. 28, 2018 at the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee; where his funeral service will be held at 5:00 pm with Rev. Lucinda O'Leary officiating. Burial will be private in Hillside Cemetery, Dundee. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Carefirst, 3805 Meads Creek Rd. Painted Post, N. Y. 14870. Carl was born August 30, 1932 in Ossining, NY, the son of the late Eric and Eva {Bengston} Anderson. After graduating from High School he served in the U.S. Army from 1952-1954. On February 19, 1955 in Montrose, N.Y. he married the former Frances Patricia "Pat" Mitchell who passed away on January 12, 2009. "Sonny" as he was lovingly called by his family and closest friends has lived locally since 1976, previously of Wappingers Falls. Carl was an expert mechanic; having had a lawn mower repair business and being a bus mechanic for the George M. Carroll Bus Company in Newburgh, NY before accepting a position in 1975 as a Bus Inspector for New York State; which he continued to work after moving to Bradford; he retired in 1998. He is survived by a daughter Jane M. (J.R.) Pearson of Choctaw, OK; a son Eric C.(Julie) Anderson Jr. with whom he made his home; 2 step grandchildren Jeremy W. (Shannon) Pearson of Yukon, OK, and Christi L. (Christian Martinez) Pearson of Midwest City, OK; 5 step great grandchildren; a sister, Alice Timm of Montrose, N.Y. and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, and his wife, he was predeceased by two brothers, Eric, and Frank; and 4 sisters, Eleanor, Dagney, Doris, and Violet.
