• Dundee: Dorine S. Woodard, age 82, of Dundee, NY passed away Sunday, August 16, 2026, at home surrounded by her loving family.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday September 5, 2026, at the Dundee United Methodist Church, 35 Water St., with Rev. Beckie Laumeier officiating. Inurnment with her husband will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Dundee.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dundee United Methodist Church, PO Box 63, Dundee, NY.

Dorine was born February 15, 1944 in Buffalo, NY to Maurice C. and Bertha (Sheppard) Jayne. On October 21, 1961 at St. Michaels Church, Penn Yan, NY, she married the love of her life, Delbert L. Woodard Jr. who passed away on April 16, 2026. Dorine was a very active and dedicated member of the Dundee United Methodist Church and the Methodist Women’s Group, never missing a chance to work in the kitchen or serve a meal. In her free time she enjoyed gardening, crocheting, cooking and baking for her family.

She is loved and will be forever missed by three daughters, Robin L. (Randy) Richardson, Annette D. Hungerford, Kimberly A. (Eric) Jensen and a son Delbert L. (Ann Washburn-Bush) Woodard III all of Dundee, NY. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Cody, Nichole, John, Brandy, Katie, Tyler, Morgan, Shelby and Delbert IV; six great grandchildren, Aubrey, Ben, Arianna, Lily, Eli and Levi; two sisters, Valkyrie A. (Robert) Rose of Elmira and Iola J. (Robert) DiIorio of Omaha, Nebraska; close family friend Peter Lamirande (Ellen Stefansky) whom she loved as a son along with countless nieces and nephews who adored their Aunt Doe.

Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by sister Kirsten McAdoo, son-in-law John Hungerford and nephew Peter Christensen.

Dorine’s love, generosity, and devotion to her family and church will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her. She will be deeply loved and forever missed.
