Dennis W. ''Denny'' Decker Dundee: Dennis W. ''Denny'' Decker, age 64, of Dundee, NY died Thursday September 10, 2020 with his wife at his side in Highland Hospital, Rochester, NY. There were no calling hours. A graveside service was held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday Oct. 2, 2020 in Lakemont Cemetery with Lay Pastor Lew Ann Giles officiating. A Celebration of His Life with a dinner being served will be held from 4:00 p.m. until ? on Saturday Sept. 11, 2021 in the Backachers Campground Pavilion 2830 Jared Road, Himrod, NY 14842. Dennis was born June 25, 1956 in Penn Yan, NY, the son of William L. and Alma A. {Good} Decker. He graduated from Dundee Central School in 1974. On June 8, 1991 in Westminster Presbyterian Church, Auburn, NY he married the former Linda L. Burlingame-Anderson. A lifelong local resident, "Denny" was employed as a Fork Lift operator by Seneca Foods, in Dundee right after graduation from high school. When the Dundee plant closed he accepted a position with Ferro Corporation in Dresden, where he worked for about 8 years before returning to Seneca Foods in Geneva, NY where he was still working until his health failed. He enjoyed his Harley Davidson, but was happiest when he was camping at Back-Achers Campsites where he volunteered countless hours helping maintain the beautiful land along the shores of Seneca Lake. He is survived and will be missed by his wife of 29 years Linda L. Decker at home; his mother Alma A. Decker of Dundee; a brother Richard L. (Abigail Kelly) Decker of Newark, NY; aunt Dorothy Pire of Forest, PA; niece Amanda (Michael) O'Leary of Overland Park, KS; nephew Alexander (Holly) Decker of Manhattan, KS; and several in-laws. He was pre-deceased by his father William L. Decker on Feb. 22, 2012, and a brother Paul Merrick on Apr. 17, 2014.
