David F. Marusarz Dundee: David F. Marusarz, age 75, of the Town of Tyrone, NY passed away Sunday December 22, 2019 in the comfort of his home. The family will greet friends and family at a Celebration of His Life from 2:00 - 4:00 pm Saturday October 23, 2021 at the Barrington Community Church 4560 Old Bath Road, Dundee, NY 14837 A brief memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. with Lay Speaker Robert Cummings officiating. David was born April 6, 1944 in Penn Yan, N.Y., the oldest son of the late Andrew and Irene {Westfall} Marusarz. He graduated as a star member of the wrestling team, and member of the Agricultural group of Dundee Central School in 1962. On Oct. 23, 1965 in Second Milo Baptist Church he married the former Donna L. Hall. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1965-1971. A lifelong local resident and part time farmer; David was employed for over 24 years by Taylor Wine, in Hammondsport, NY, retiring in 1987 due to a heart attack. Mr. Marusarz was a member of the Dundee American Legion Bradley-Jessop Post #660, the NRA, was a former member & trustee of the Fundamental Baptist Church in Dundee. In his spare time, he enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, gardening & farming; and could always be found tinkering with something. He will be missed by his wife of 54 years Donna L. Marusarz at home; a son Kyle D. (Kim) Marusarz of Perry, NY; 2 daughters Jennifer L. Marusarz of Horseheads, NY, and Leandra D. (David) Smail of Canton, GA; 5 grandchildren Andrew David, Katherine, and Jessica Marusarz, Nicholas and Elena Smail; a brother Sam (Cathy) Marusarz of Dundee; and numerous nieces and nephews.
