Obituary

Darlene O. Schuerholz Dundee: Darlene O. Schuerholz, age 68, of Crystal Valley, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 7, 2012 after a noble battle with cancer. She joins her late husband Louis R. Schuerholz (2001) and her beloved brother, Woodrow Wilson (Scott) Orndorff (1971). There are no prior calling hours. A memorial service will be held at 11am Saturday, December 29 at the Dundee VFW, Seneca Street Extension. A lunch reception will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Farm Sanctuary, Watkins Glen ( www.farmsanctuary.org). Darlene was born August 6, 1944 in Baltimore, MD., the daughter of the late Woodrow Wilson Orndorff and Jeanette Orndorff Schwemmer. She attended Henry E. Lackey High School in Indian Head, MD. She worked locally around the eastern shore of MD throughout much of her life before moving to upstate NY in 1983 where she fell in love with the Crystal Valley area. She enjoyed her horses, her National Geographics and the Buffalo Bills. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she will be sorely missed by her best friend and caregiver of many years, Freda M. Badmone of Dundee, 2 daughters Valkyrie (Chris) Arradondo and Lorelei (Dave) Schuerholz-Schmidt all of Leesburg, VA; 2 stepchildren Erik Schuerholz and Kit Conjelko both of Lexington Park, MD; 3 grandsons, Chandler ("Boog"), Dominick, and Christopher ("Pootie"); as well as many nieces and nephews.
