Daniel Arthur Nelson Dundee: Daniel Arthur Nelson, age 71, of Dundee, NY passed away Saturday January 6, 2024 at home. Daniel was born November 21, 1952 in Niskayuna, NY, the only son of the late Richard Arthur and Isabell A. (McFaul) Nelson. He has lived locally since the early 1960's. He quit High School to enlist in the U.S. Air Force in 1970 in hopes of being a combat medic, unfortunately that request was never granted, so he accepted an honorable discharge in 1971. On March 18, 1972 in the First Baptist Church of Newark, NY, he married the former Sheila May Parmelee. A vineyardist throughout his life, he worked for Canandaigua Winery for a time, before accepting a position on the assembly line making television tubes for Phillips, in Seneca Falls, until its closing in 1983. Dan continued working in the vineyards for the rest of his life until his health failed him. He enjoyed gardening, reading, and loved to drive anywhere he could. He will be dearly missed by his wife of 51 years, Sheila M. Nelson at home; his only son Nathaniel A. 'Nate' (Bobbie) Nelson of Canandaigua; 2 sisters Cynthia DuBois formerly of Rochester, currently of Virginia, and Amy French of Monroe, VA; along with several nieces and nephews.
