Cynthia A. Smith Yarrington Himrod: Cynthia A. Smith Yarrington, age 65, of Himrod, NY passed away with family by her side; following a brave battle with cancer, Thursday January 11, 2024 in the comfort of the Keuka Comfort Care Home, in Penn Yan, NY. Friends and family are invited to calling hours from 12:00 -1:00 p.m. Sunday (Jan. 21) at the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee; where a memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm with Pastor David Semans officiating. Inurnment will be in Grove Mount Cemetery in Himrod, at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Keuka Comfort Care Home, P.O. Box, 107, Penn Yan, NY 14527. Cynthia was born Feb. 5, 1958 in New Haven, CT, the daughter of the late William H. and Sandra M. (Iannucci) Smith. She was the widow of the late Bryan S. Yarrington, who passed away on June 9, 2012. Cindy was a manager for the former Pizza Hut, in Geneva, NY. She was a former communicant of St Michael's Catholic Church, in Penn Yan, and former member of the Himrod Conservation Club. She is loved and will be missed by her daughter Jennifer (Lita Alvarez) Berzinskas of Hackettstown, NJ; 2 sons Bryan S. (Sarah) Yarrington, and Kenneth C. (Natalie) Yarrington both of Dundee, NY; 3 grandchildren Sandra, Henry, & Frank Yarrington; 3 brothers Bill (Wendy) Smith of Clinton, CT, Tim (Dawn) Smith and Lou (Kelly) Smith all of Penn Yan; 2 sisters Loretta Smith of Rochester, NY, Melanie (Saleem) Khan of North Haven, CT; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
