Cristine Conklin Penn Yan: Cristine Conklin, age 63, of Penn Yan, NY died Thursday March 6, 2014 at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, Penn Yan, NY. Honoring her wishes there are no prior calling hours. A graveside memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family in McDowell Cemetery in the spring. Cristine was born August 27, 1950 in Hornell, NY, the daughter of the late Ramon J. and Bertalou Hann Smith. She was married to the late Gerald C. Conklin who passed away on October 22, 2003. A homemaker all her life, she had also worked for many years in the local vineyards. Mrs. Conklin was a very active member of Dundee Baptist Church, and recently the Penn Yan Baptist Church. She is survived by 2 brothers Mitchell R Smith of Canaseraga, NY, John Hann of Hornell, NY; 3 sisters Nancy Hann of Hornell, Diane (Keith) Rachau of Vinton, Louisiana, Victoria (Robert) Hillman of Little Valley, NY; and several nieces and nephews.
