Connie Lee Barkley Palmisano Penn Yan: Connie Lee Barkley Palmisano, age 60, of Penn Yan, NY passed away on Friday May 23, 2014 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family; after a courageous battle with cancer. Connie was born May 17, 1954 in Penn Yan, NY, the daughter of the late Albert L. and Olee R. Phillips Barkley. She was employed by the former Michael Stearns Clothing for 3 years and by Allison Athletic in Geneva, NY for 37 years. She was an amazing worker and dedicated employee whose priority in life was always her three sons and family. In her spare time, she enjoyed creating various crafts and decorating. Her other enjoyment was her cats. She was also the number one fan of her three sons, whether it be sports or racing cars she was always there cheering them on. Connie will be dearly missed by her three beloved sons, Anthony 'Tony', Jason and Brandon L. Palmisano; grandson, Parker Palmisano and granddaughter, Vienna Palmisano all of Penn Yan; brothers Albert L. (Susan) Barkley of Cheshire, CT, James R. (Linda) Barkley of Dundee; sisters Mary E. Rockwell of Horseheads, NY, Patty L. (Mike) Race of Penn Yan, Winifred B. (Richard) Radka of Dundee, Judy E. Thompson of Penn Yan, and Susie Brunsen of Penn Yan along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, Connie was pre-deceased by a brother-in-law James Rockwell. Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday (May 29) at the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee. A memorial service will be held on Friday (May 30) at 11a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Lucinda O'Leary officiating. Inurnment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Dundee, NY.
