Cheryl A. Johnson Dundee: Cheryl A. Johnson, age 73, of Dundee, NY passed away Monday March 25, 2024 at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, N.Y. Calling hours will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday April 9, 2024 at the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee; where her funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday April 10, with Pastor Thomas Wunder officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Dundee. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Penn Yan United Methodist Church, 166 Main St., Penn Yan, N.Y. 14527. Cheryl was born Nov. 21, 1950 in Penn Yan, NY, the daughter of the late Arthur E. and Loraine F. Spoor Smith. She was member of the Dundee Central School class of 1968; and went on to attend Finger Lakes Community College. On March 29, 1987 in Dundee, NY she married the late Ronald J. Johnson Sr. who passed away on July 15, 2016. She and Ron founded the Johnson Family Care Home, in 1988, working through the Elmira Psychiatric Center, and have given countless woman loving, caring homes ever since. Mrs. Johnson was a member of Penn Yan United Methodist Church, and she loved to cook. She is loved and will be dearly and forever missed by her daughter Dawn L. (Jesse) Jayne of Dundee; sons Eugene L. (Melissa) Melendez of Himrod, Ramon C. Johnson of Dundee, Adrian (Gina Imburgia-Spadaccino) Lozada of Rochester; step son Ronald J. Johnson Jr. of Arizona; 15 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 5 brothers Harold A. (Diane) Smith, and Martin Fultz both of Penn Yan, Martin (Carol) Lozada of Victor, William Lozada of Rochester, and Arthur N. Smith of Waterloo; 3 sisters Ronna L. (Chuck Irion) Smith of Dundee, Brenda (Brad) Smith of Penn Yan, and Bambi (Ron) Schiek of Honeoye; along with countless nieces and nephews.
